The work we do at Wesley Community Action is partly funded by a variety of Government departments with whom we work in partnership. However as we continue to 'invest' in new or 'leading edge' (and sometimes 'high risk,' ) social services it is 'normal' for us to operate in a financial deficit. Accordingly we greatly appreciate any donations made as these allow us to continue to extend boundaries and make huge differences to those most in need.
Tax Changes make it easier to Donate
Whether or not your donation to Wesley is influenced by the IRD tax rebates available at the end of each tax year, recent tax changes mean that by claiming your available tax rebate it can ease the cost to you of your generosity.
The Tax law changes mean that individuals are now able to claim 331/3% rebate for donations made up to a maximum claim equal to their annual taxable income.
Companies will now be able to deduct the full amount of any donation, limited only by the net income of the company.
Even if you don’t normally claim the tax rebates available, you might like to consider doing so in the future and then pass the tax rebate on to Wesley as an ‘extra’ donation. Of course, any ‘extra’ donations will be greatly appreciated.
