Foster Parents & House Parents

Can you help make ‘the’ difference?
Our young people deserve the best.

We believe that if you have great compassion, mature understanding, exceptional commitment, and we provide you with experienced professional support, then, together ‘we’ can make the difference!

Can you set boundaries, and stick to them? Provide outstanding role modelling to young people? Be highly self motivated? Be ready to undergo training for a prompt start?

Our team of Foster Parents and House Parents work alongside our social work and youth work staff to support young people who do best in either intensive one on one, or group foster care environments, provided by Wesley Community Action.

You must have no dependent children living with you, a full driver’s licence, and knowledge of supporting youth who have challenges. Wesley will provide a salary and reimbursements, 24 hour social work back up, training and professional supervision to all care staff.

We are seeking:

• Foster Parent/s (singles or couples) - Can you provide care for a teenager on a fulltime or part time (weekend) basis in your own home in the greater Wellington region?

• House Parents (couples only) – Group home - Can you move into our foster home in Tawa and provide care for our three teenage boys full time? One of you can work elsewhere.
