Reading cinema in Porirua recently hosted what is possibly Porirua’s first ever movie premiere for a  locally produced movie (and which also happened to feature the work of Wesley Community Action’s Porirua based Good Cents team.)

Last week I spent 5 hours in a meeting of senior Government officials and key leaders of NGO’s tasked with improving the situation of NZ’s most vulnerable children.

“I just want to say thank you so very much to Bronwen and Janet for everything, for giving me the tools to best deal with my grandsons behaviour, to understand him a lot more, not for being a “naughty child”, but a unique child with challenging behaviours.”

Wesley Community Action Chairperson Peter Glensor said a fundamental part of a healthy community was that members of that community should receive a wage that supported their participation in the life of that community.
