Our kaimahi (staff) bring Wesley Community Action to life. They get ‘right in there’ with every individual they work with and every whānau they walk alongside.
Our kaimahi are very loyal – many have worked with us for more than 20 years and some come back after testing the waters elsewhere. For some of them, what appeals is our respectful and open work environment. For others, it’s the fact that we’re prepared to undertake take brave and often innovative initiatives. The most recent example of this is our six-month pilot of Te Wiki Wēteri – our version of the 4-day week.
